Biography

I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a highly skilled ESL Teacher. My experience aligns well with the qualifications as a teacher here. With more than 1 year of experience as an ESL Teacher, I am adept in learning style assessments and Individualized Lesson Plans. Moreover, I became a communication skills trainer/coach in the BPO industry. Worked with American, British, Australian clients for 7 years and gave me a well-rounded skill set, including excellent communication and analytical skills. I am fluent in English, goal-oriented, focused, and committed. In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for education.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching Japanese people for more than a year now. In the past 7 years, I was teaching customer service agents in the call center industry to enhance their communication skills when dealing with American, British, and Australian people. Through the years, I have learned the importance of having an open mind. You can walk into any classroom and see completely different environments, teaching styles, student personalities, curriculum, resources, etc. It is so easy to have your ways and your approaches to teaching, disregarding anything else that you encounter. I have learned that opening up to methods and styles that I am not used to is beneficial to help me learn more ways that I can help my students and also to learn more about what I like and dislike as a teacher. Rarely does anyone have a perfect student teaching placement? I am fortunate to have enjoyed mine, but I have also learned that there is value in learning about what you do not want to do as a teacher just as much as learn what you do want to do. It is so important to continue being open-minded so that you can leave room to grow into a more effective teacher! I will forever love different learning cultures around the globe while teaching different nationalities.
